DFWCommunicators.com is the premier online destination for employers seeking qualified communications professionals in the North Texas area and potential employees searching for targeted jobs in public relations, media affairs, advertising/sales, event planning, graphic design, marketing and corporate and employee relations. This Web site is a cost effective and powerful tool to effectively link employers with job seekers by providing a single online source for local jobs in communications.
The site, which is provided at no cost to job seekers, was recently enhanced to improve navigation and provide more user-friendly features. All postings can be found on the Web site or through the DFW Communicators’ Twitter feed. E-mail alerts for specific keywords can be sent directly to a job seeker’s email address.
In addition, employers have more control over their job listing than ever before. New features allow for direct text entry, editing after posting, removal after a job is filled and the ability to view counts for each listing. Once an entry is approved for the site, the job posting remains on the site for one month and appears on DFW Communicators’ Twitter feed.
Cost: The cost to post one job opening for employers who are members of participating communications organizations (refer to list on submission form) is $75. The cost for non-members is $100. Both members and non-members of a non-profit organization (501c3 only) can post a job for $50. This is considerable savings over a typical local newspaper classified ad, which yields less qualified applicants and runs for a shorter period of time. The most efficient method of payment is by American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or debit card available through a secured platform during the job posting process. If you prefer to pay by check, please contact the Web site administrator via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
DFW Communicators’ Job Bank is a collaborative project of several communications-related organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, one of which is the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of PRSA. Other participating groups include the Press Club of Dallas and the Dallas chapters of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), The National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
