Join the Greater Fort Worth PRSA chapter for lunch and learn about plans for the 2014 Worthy Awards. Hear some tips about how to put your best foot forward with a winning nomination! The GFW PRSA Chapter’s Worthy Awards were presented for the first time in 2012, and the professional recognition program grew substantially in its second year. Committee members are working now to make the awards process and event even better in 2014.

This year’s Worthy Awards co-chair, Holly Ellman, will kick things off with an overview of plans and key dates for this year’s awards, leading up to the celebration and awards night at the Fort Worth Club on Thursday, May 29. Next, co-chair Joe Stout will talk about the new entry process and share some recommendations from past judges about how to create a nomination that shows the full value of your communications product or project. Also, the 2013 Worthy Award Best of Show winner Gigi Westerman, APR, Fellow PRSA and her client Shannon Wingo from the Tarrant County Public Health Department will discuss their award winning strategic communications program: “Breastfeeding Works,” a campaign designed to educate employees and elicit support for a new worksite lactation policy.
